LOCATION: 23000 Block of Shirwaun Road, Apple Valley

SUSPECT(S): Romualdo Vargasarce, 65-years-old, Resident of Apple Valley

SUMMARY: On Sunday, October 7, 2025, at 6:50 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley station responded to a report of a kidnapping in the 23000 block of Shirwaun Road in Apple Valley. 

The reporting party informed dispatch that her ex-boyfriend, later identified as Romualdo Vargasarce, had struck her in the face during a domestic dispute, causing injury. The suspect retrieved a handgun and forced the victim into his vehicle, and stated he intended to kill her. The suspect drove the victim to an unknown location and then drove her back to the incident location. 

Deputies arrived at the location, detained the suspect and served a search warrant at the residence. During the search, deputies located and seized multiple firearms, along with additional evidence related to the investigation.   

Romualdo Vargasarce was transported to the High Desert Detention center where he was booked on the above charges.
