...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM AKST THIS EVENING... .A weak low pressure system passing just south of the Alaska Panhandle today will bring periods of heavier snowfall to areas from Ketchikan southward through 6 PM this evening. As the low passes to the east late today, the arctic front will shift south of Metlakatla, with temperatures falling through the 20s this evening.
* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations around 3 inches near Ketchikan and up to 5 inches for areas around Annette Island.
* WHERE...Ketchikan Gateway Borough and Annette Island.
* WHEN...Until 6 PM AKST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions and reduced visibilities for marine and air travel.
