INCIDENT: Stolen Vehicle Pursuit
LOCATION: 20000 block of Rimrock Road, Apple Valley

SUMMARY:
On Thursday, December 11, 2025, investigators with the Apple Valley Station responded to a residence located in the 20000 block of Rimrock Road in reference to a stolen vehicle report. The victim reported he left his vehicle unattended while it was running and it was taken.
Investigators conducted an area check for the vehicle and located it near the intersection of Cahuilla Road and Laguna Seca Road. As deputies approached, the vehicle fled the location, and a pursuit ensued. After a brief pursuit, the vehicle was found unoccupied near the intersection of Quinnault Road and South Road. The investigation is ongoing.
The Apple Valley Police Department would like to remind drivers not to leave vehicles running unattended, even for a moment. Unattended idling increases the risk of theft. Residents are urged to turn off the engine, take the keys and lock doors each time they leave the vehicle. This simple step keeps our community safer and reduces preventable incidents.
