McDowell County Jury Finds Warren Guilty in Drug Trafficking Case
On December 5, 2025, a McDowell County jury found Brian Kyle Warren, 38, guilty of the following charges:
• Two counts felony Trafficking Opium or Heroin
• felony Possession of Opiates
Warren was sentenced to a minimum of 118 months to a maximum 166 months.
After the guilty verdict, Warren entered a guilty plea to Habitual Felon Status.
The charges stem from an incident in February 2024 when Warren was stopped in Old Fort by Detective David Jones with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Community Impact Team.
Detectives located 14 grams of Oxycodone, marijuana, synthetic cannabinoid, a large amount of US currency and drug paraphernalia.
McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Nathan Mace extends his gratitude to all involved:
