Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing incident.
On November 28th at approximately 12:55 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the area of East 12th Street and Clifford Brown Walk, in reference to a stabbing incident. Police located two victims – a 28-year-old female and a 27-year-old male – who both arrived at the hospital in stable condition.
The case was assigned to Detective Michael Chambers of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Chambers identified 24-year-old Kyndale Perkins as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest. On December 9th Probation and Parole Officers located Perkins, and he was taken into custody without incident.
Perkins has been charged with the following offenses:
- Attempted Murder (First Degree)
- Assault (First Degree)
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $1,120,000 cash-only bail.
