The El Cerrito Police Department is investigating a fatal collision between a vehicle, a maroon Subaru Outback, and a pedestrian, a 57-year-old woman, which occurred on December 12, 2025, at approximately 5:40AM in the 1700 block of Eastshore Blvd.

Preliminary information indicates that the pedestrian was crossing Eastshore Blvd. mid-block, when she was struck by the vehicle traveling northbound. The El Cerrito Fire Department and AMR paramedics responded to the scene and attempted to revive the woman. Despite their best efforts, the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The involved driver remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with investigators.
