November 2nd

November 3rd
At 11:52 AM, an officer reports an unknown suspect exited the store with unpaid merchandise.
Public Intoxication - 1700 Block of Elm St.
At 10:21 PM, officers arrested a subject for public intoxication. The subject was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
November 4th
Battery – 10200 Block of San Pablo Ave.
At 11:10 PM, officers responded to a battery. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
November 5th
Vandalism - 6600 Block of Schmidt Ln:
At 7:37 AM, an officer reports an unknown suspect smashed out a window on the victim’s vehicle.
Vandalism - 1300 Block of Richmond St:
At 8:26 AM, an officer reports an unknown suspect smashed out a window on the victim’s vehicle.
Vandalism - 1200 Block of Scott St:
At 8:31 AM, an officer reports an unknown suspect smashed out a window on the victim’s vehicle.
Assault - 5010 El Cerrito Plaza (Dave’s Hot Chicken):
At 4:17 PM, officers responded to an assault at the business.
Driving Under the Influence – Central Ave / Yosemite Ave.
At 12:08 AM, officers arrested a driver for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. The subject was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and later released on a citation to a sober friend.
November 6th
Theft With Priors - 1000 El Cerrito Plaza(Luckys):
At 12:00 PM, officers responded to the store for a theft that had just occurred. Officers located the suspect entering the El Cerrito Plaza BART station and detained him. The suspect was positively identified during an infield show-up and placed under Citizen’s Arrest. During booking, a records check revealed the suspect had four prior convictions for theft. The suspect was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility after booking.
Stolen Vehicle- 1200 Block of Liberty St:
At 11:14 AM, an officer reports an unknown suspect stole the victim’s motorcycle trailer.
Petty Theft – BART path between Wall Ave / Knott Ave.
At 2:33 AM, the victim reported their backpack stolen.
November 7th
Criminal Threats - 2600 block of Monte Vista Avenue:
At 9:28 Am officers were sent to a call of a person sending another person text messages threatening to do damage to the victim's proprty. Officers contacted the suspect to let him know that law enforcement was aware of the threats.
Petty Theft - 500 block of Liberty Street:
At 1007 an officer took a report of a theft of keys by a known suspect.
Grand Theft - Baxter Creek Park:
At 1058 hours City of El Cerrito staff reported someone had dug up copper wire that powered lights in the park and had stolen it.
Grand Theft - 9800 San Pablo Avenue (wells Fargo):
At 1:30 PM an officer took a report that a known suspect stole the ATM card from the victim and then made sereral cash withdrawls.
November 8th
Theft- 11344 San Pablo Ave (Denny’s):
At 3:48 AM, an officer reports an unknown suspect took another customer’s food without paying.
Theft with Priors/Possession of Burglary Tools/False ID/Warrant Arrest- 6000 El Cerrito Plaza(Marshalls):
At 9:42 PM, an officer was flagged down for a theft that just occurred and detained the suspect. The suspect was placed under Citizen’s Arrest. During a search incident to arrest, the suspect was found to be in possession of burglary tools. The suspect was transported to the El Cerrito Police Department for booking. During a records check, officers discovered the suspect had an outstanding warrant for theft and two prior theft convictions. After booking, the suspect was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
