Officers investigated a report of threats with an alleged firearm, and a suspect was placed under arrest for criminal threats and driving under the influence. No firearm was located during a search of the suspect’s vehicle.
San Mateo, CA – On December 11, 2025, at 11:54 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Elm Street on a report of a subject, identified in the investigation as Vincent Hogan Jr., who allegedly threatened to shoot a victim and their family member. Probable cause was established for the arrest of Hogan for criminal threats, and officers observed Hogan driving in the area shortly after. Officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle, and Hogan was placed under arrest for criminal threats and for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. During a search incident to arrest of the vehicle, no firearm was located. Hogan was transported to the San Mateo County Jail where he was booked for his charges.
