Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on 12/13/2025 at approximately 02:00 AM, his deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office, responded to a One vehicle crash on Savage Rd and Bald Hill St, Newberg Township, Cass County Michigan.
The investigation showed that a vehicle driven by Gayland Campbell (38 years old from Marcellus, MI) was northbound on Savage Rd at Bald Hill St. when he lost control of his vehicle, then left the roadway and struck a tree. The passenger Paul Smith (48 years old from Marcellus, MI) was transported by Newberg Ambulance to Bronson Hospital for injuries sustained in the traffic crash.
Assisting agencies on scene were Newberg Fire, Newberg Ambulance, and SEPSA Ambulance .
The crash remains under investigation
