Update #2 (Investigation – West 4th and North Scott Streets):

As the WPD Special Operations Division Traffic Unit continued its investigation into this fatal collision, it was determined that the victim had run into the roadway in the path of oncoming traffic.
 
While the drivers of the two striking vehicles were determined not to have been at fault for the collision itself, they have both been identified and charged with offenses related to leaving the scene of the collision.
 
Victoria Goral, 31, has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Leaving the Scene of a Collision Resulting in Death
  • Obstruction of Justice/Tampering with Evidence
  • Failure to Report a Collision Resulting in Injury or Death
  • Removing a Vehicle from the Scene of a Collision Resulting in Death
She was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was related after posting $2,200 secured bail.
 
Gabriel Devere, 50, has been charged with the following offenses:
  • Leaving the Scene of a Collision Resulting in Death
  • Failure to Report a Collision Resulting in Injury or Death
  • Removing a Vehicle from the Scene of a Collision Resulting in Death
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was related on $3,050 unsecured bail.
 
Update #1 (December 1):
 
The victim who succumbed to his injuries has been identified as Malachi Albino.

Original Release (November 28):
 
Wilmington Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 10:29 p.m. Wednesday in the area of West 4th Street and North Scott Street.
 
Police located an 18-year-old male who was struck by a vehicle. The male was transported to the hospital in critical condition, and subsequent succumbed to his injuries.
