January 2026 through June 2026, the Borough will be rolling out a pilot program by picking up bulk trash only once a month.
Bulk Trash for the entire town will ONLY be collected monthly on the 2nd Thursday. This schedule overrides the Community Calendar.
Mark these dates on your 2026 calendar:
January 8 • February 12 • March 12 • April 9 • May 14 • June 11
Acceptable items: Furniture, mattresses, & other household goods.
Unacceptable items: Construction debris, electronics, metal, large household appliances, and hazardous materials will NOT be collected.
WHY? We’re exploring this
6-month bulk trash pilot to increase efficiency and reduce costs. We need to test smart ways to save money without materially impacting residents. If the pilot works—saving money
without materially reducing service—we’ll consider making it permanent.
Violations will be issued for non-compliance.
