Update: Suspect Arrested Following Large Police Presence on Western Avenue
The Green Bay Police Department has arrested a 27-year-old Green Bay man for allegedly making threatening statements toward a financial institution.
On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1300 block of Western Avenue to contact an identified suspect who reportedly made a phone call to shoot up a bank in a surrounding jurisdiction.
The Green Bay Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) were requested to assist patrol officers with the arrest.
At approximately 1:00 p.m., the suspect was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Brown County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information is planned for release at this time.
Charges will be referred to the Brown County District Attorney’s Office.
As a precautionary safety measure, two nearby schools were notified to secure their buildings.
