Narrative:
In November of 2025, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Sexual Assault Unit began an investigation into a sexual assault that occurred in the City of Camarillo. 
 
During the investigation, it was discovered (S) Simranjit Singh Sekhon was operating as a driver for a ride-sharing business.  Sekhon began a ride with an adult female where he picked her up from Thousand Oaks and drove her to Camarillo.  The female was intoxicated and unable to care for herself.   After the completion of the ride, Sekhon drove the unconscious victim around Camarillo and sexually assaulted her. 
 
On December 15, 2025, detectives from the Major Crimes Sexual Assault Unit and Thousand Oaks Special Enforcement Unit placed Sekhon under arrest for PC 261(a)(4)-Rape of an unconscious victim. Sekhon was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility with bail set at $500,000. Sekhon is currently in custody, and his next court date is scheduled for 12/17/25 at 1:30 PM at the Ventura County Superior Court.
