...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Oregon...Washington... Wilson River near Tillamook affecting Tillamook County. Cowlitz River at Kelso affecting Cowlitz County. Johnson Creek at Sycamore affecting Clackamas and Multnomah Counties. Clackamas River at Estacada affecting Clackamas County. Siuslaw River near Mapleton affecting Lane County. Marys River near Philomath affecting Benton County. Luckiamute River near Suver affecting Benton and Polk Counties. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Oregon... Pudding River at Aurora affecting Marion and Clackamas Counties.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wilson River near Tillamook.

* WHEN...Until Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...Above 15.5 feet, expect widespread flooding in the north part of Tillamook along Hwy 101 from Hoquarton Slough north to the Tillamook Creamery, especially during high tides. The most noticable flood impacts are to low-lying roads and some buildings near Dougherty Slough and the lower Wilson River. Widespread flooding of low lying dairy and pasture land and some rural access roads from Wilson River Loop Road downstream to Hwy 101 and along Makinster Rd and Goodspeed Rd west of Hwy 101 can be expected as well.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:30 PM PST Wednesday the stage was 9.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Thursday afternoon and crest around 15.0 feet late Thursday evening. The river will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued late tonight at 500 AM PST.
