The Department of Municipal Services is responding to a water main break that has CLOSED SOUTHBOUND MAIN ST. BETWEEN SIMPSON AND BYRON. Crews are on site and it is anticipated it will take a few hours for repairs. Please seek alternatives routes to detour around that area.
Crews will also work to slow down the flow of water in the break area, for homes in the immediate area you may notice a lower than normal water pressure. The water system remains safe and secure despite the break in the pipe as the pipe is still under pressure.
