INCIDENT: Lewd Acts With A Minor / Child Endangerment / False Imprisonment / Furnishing Controlled Substance to a Minor
LOCATION: 61000 block of Twentynine Palms Highway, Joshua Tree, CA
SUSPECT(S): Ryan Granger, 43 year-old male, Resident of Oceanside, CA

SUMMARY: On Sunday, September 14, 2025, deputies from the Morongo Basin Station responded to the 61000 block of Twentynine Palms Highway in the unincorporated area of Joshua Tree. The call for service was in response to the report of lewd acts committed against a minor.
During the preliminary investigation, deputies determined on Saturday, September 13, 2025, three 15-year-old female juveniles were solicited by the suspect. The suspect furnished illegal controlled substances and alcohol to the juveniles. While the victims were impaired and unable to care for themselves, the suspect committed lewd acts against them.
Using advanced investigative techniques and public records, 43-year-old Oceanside, CA resident, Ryan Granger was positively identified as the suspect by Detective D. Rodriguez. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Granger and worked tirelessly to locate him. On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, with the assistance of the Oceanside Police Department, Granger was located and taken into custody in Oceanside.
Granger was arrested and booked on PC 288(c)(1) - Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Minor, PC 273a(a) - Child Endangerment, PC 236 - False Imprisonment and H&S 11353 - Furnishing a Controlled Substance to a Minor.
Granger is currently being held at West Valley Detention Center in-lieu of a $500,000 bail.
This investigation remains ongoing.
