Southeastern Guilford County in central North Carolina... Western Chatham County in central North Carolina...

* At 539 AM EST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles southeast of McLeansville to 9 miles west of Seagrove to 6 miles south of Albemarle, moving east at 40 mph. The strongest winds are located between Asheboro and Troy. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Chapel Hill, Burlington, Asheboro, Albemarle, Graham, Hillsborough, Randleman, Troy, Siler City, and Badin Lake. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 135 and 155, near Mile Marker 162, and between Mile Markers 259 and 266. Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 36 and 81.
