Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges.
On December 18th at approximately 9:49 a.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 800 block of Kirkwood Street when they observed a male subject engaged in drug-related activity. Police made contact with 44-year-old Rahsaan Cherry and took him into custody without incident. Subsequently, officers executed a search warrant on Cherry’s vehicle that was located in the 600 block of East 9th Street. Police recovered 18.5 grams of crack cocaine and $580 in currency.
Cherry has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 2 Quantity
- Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia not Related to Personal Use Quantity
He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was released on $26,200 secured bail.
