* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Southwestern Humboldt County in northwestern California...
* Until 1100 PM PST.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. There will be an increased risk of rock and land slides along roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 644 PM PST, gauge reports indicated heavy rain. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are possible in the warned area. The rain has diminished and stream and creeks have generally crested, but remain high. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Honeydew, Shelter Cove, Petrolia, Redway, Bull Creek, Ettersburg, Briceland and Capetown. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
