| Camarillo, California. – On December 19th, 2025, a DUI checkpoint was held on Arneill Road north of Ponderosa Drive from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. 1211 vehicles passed through the checkpoint and 705 drivers were contacted. One person was cited and released for BP 25662(a)-Possession of an alcoholic beverage by a minor, two drivers were cited and released for VC 2818-Driving through a cone pattern, two drivers were arrested for warrants. Three other drivers were cited and released for driving without a license. DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of a DUI checkpoint is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads. Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.    |
