OPD Rescues Two Juveniles During Human Trafficking Investigation
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) continues investigating human trafficking in Oakland. On December 15, 2025, OPD’s Vice and Child Exploitation Unit and our Special Resources Officers (SRO) West conducted a targeted human trafficking operation along International Boulevard.
During the investigation, officers located, rescued, and connected two juvenile females, one from Portland and one from Oakland, with appropriate services. Both juveniles were identified as victims of human trafficking.
This operation is part of an ongoing, coordinated initiative aimed at addressing and combating human trafficking in our city.
