Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun charges.

On December 20^th at approximately 11:55 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conducted a vehicle stop in the 200 block of East 24^th Street in reference to a vehicle violation. Officers made contact with the driver 25-year-old Robert Walker and took him into custody without incident. Subsequently, officers executed a search warrant on the vehicle. Police recovered two loaded .9mm handguns, 35 grams of marijuana, 6.73 ounces of Promethazine/Codeine, and $54 in currency. One of the handguns had an obliterated serial number and the second handgun was found to have been privately manufactured and was untraceable.

Walker was charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – 4 Counts
• Possession of a Weapon with an Obliterated Serial Number
• Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon – Two Counts
• Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Counterfeit Controlled Substance
• Possession of an Untraceable Firearm
