INCIDENT: PC 664/187 – Attempted Murder
LOCATION: 57000 Block of Chipmunk Trail, Yucca Valley
SUSPECT(S): Nicholas Daniel Lee, 29-year-old Resident of Yucca Valley
VICTIM(S): Michael Ramos, 18-year-old Resident of Yucca Valley
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, December 21, 2025, at about 9:51 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting that occurred at a party at a residence on Chipmunk Trail. When deputies arrived, they located Michael Ramos suffering from a gunshot wound and he was transported to the hospital in grave condition.
Through investigation, deputies learned Ramos was involved in an argument with a male subject, later identified as Nicholas Daniel Lee. Lee shot Ramos and fled the location.
Deputies, along with Sheriff’s Aviation, conducted an area check and located Lee hiding in the area. Lee was arrested and booked for PC 664/187 – Attempted Murder.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail also responded and assumed the investigation. Homicide detectives were provided with an update from the hospital on Ramos’ condition and learned Ramos is not expected to survive. Charges will be modified if Ramos is indeed pronounced deceased.
