Tuesday evening, December 23, 2025, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Northern Investigations arrested Nyzahir Chin, 18, of Burton. Chin was charged with two counts of Attempted Murder, Shooting into a Dwelling, Aggravated Breach of Peace, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
Chin was identified as the subject in the Monday night shooting, that occurred shortly after 7 p.m. on December 22, 2025. He was identified as the subject who shot into an occupied apartment in the area of Colony Gardens Rd. (Harbor One Apartments) on Lady’s Island.
The apartment was occupied by 3 people, ages 7, 16, and 17-years-old, fortunately there were no reported injuries.
