...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions possible. Total snow accumulations
  between 2 and 10 inches possible. Highest amounts expected for
  Unalaska Island. North winds could gust as high as 70 mph.

* WHERE...Eastern Aleutians, including Unalaska, Akutan, and
  Nikolski.

* WHEN...From Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities reduced to one quarter mile or less due to
  blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing
  snow could significantly reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Precipitation will begin as rain on Friday
  but quickly transition to snow with cooling temperatures. Strong
  northerly winds combined with the snow will lead to potential
  blizzard conditions. Visibility improves on Saturday as snow
  tapers off quickly, though winds may continue to loft snow through
  Monday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Watch for blizzard conditions means there is a
potential for falling and/or blowing snow with strong winds and
extremely poor visibilities. This can lead to whiteout conditions
and make travel very hazardous.

Travel may be very hazardous. Alaska law requires use of headlights when visibility is below 1,000 ft.
