The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area today, Friday, December 26, 4:00 pm, through Saturday, December 27, at 1:00 pm. Heavy snow is expected to develop after 4:00 pm today and continue throughout the night into Saturday. Total snow accumulation is forecast to be 5 to 9 inches in Bergen County. Roadways will become hazardous overnight into Saturday. Please monitor local weather forecasts for updates throughout the afternoon. SNOW REMOVAL Saddle Brook municipal ordinance now requires all vehicles to be removed from the roadways whenever snow has fallen and streets are snow covered. Violators are subject to tickets and fines. Saddle Brook municipal ordinance also prohibits snow to be shoveled or blown back onto the roadway. In addition, sidewalks must be cleared of snow and ice within 24-hours after the snow has stopped falling. The goal of these ordinances is to keep drivers and pedestrians as safe as possible.
