Attention Garwood Residents
With the incoming snowstorm, we would like to remind residents of Garwood’s snow-parking ordinance:
§ 21-6 Temporary Prohibited Parking for Snow Removal and Other Emergencies
A. Whenever snow has fallen and there is an accumulation of three (3) inches or more on any street or highway, no vehicle may be parked on any street or highway, or any portion thereof, within the Borough of Garwood. This prohibition remains in effect until the snowfall has ended and the streets have been fully plowed.
The Department of Public Works (DPW) will be plowing and salting all roadways. Please move your vehicles earlyand do not wait until the last minute so streets can be cleared properly.
Limited overnight parking is available at the following locations:
• Recreation Center
• Borough Lot #2 (across from the Post Office)
• JFK Plaza (along the building, as shown in the attached photo)
 Parking in these areas is not permitted until after 8:00 PM.
Upon parking, you must contact the Police Desk at 908-789-1500 and provide:
• Your name
• License plate number
• Phone number
• The lot where your vehicle is parked
All vehicles MUST be removed once the storm ends so DPW can clear the lots.
