Winter Storm Recovery and Safety Reminder
WINTER STORM RECOVERY AND SAFETY REMINDER
A friendly reminder that shoveling or blowing snow into our roadways poses risks for everyone and can hinder the efforts of our dedicated snowplow operators and emergency responders. Please be aware that Code Enforcement and police personnel are actively enforcing violations.
Let’s be considerate and clear the snow onto our own properties, ensuring we maintain clear paths for all. By doing this, we’re not only helping ourselves but also our neighbors and the hardworking crews who keep our streets safe.
Other Important Reminders for Haledon Residents:
Snow Removal: All snow, including snow on sidewalks and vehicles, must be cleared within 24 hours after the snowfall ends, in accordance with the Haledon Municipal Code. Failure to comply may result in a summons.
Parking Space Savers: The use of objects to reserve parking spaces is prohibited and subject to enforcement.
Fire Hydrants: Residents are asked to clear snow from fire hydrants to ensure emergency access.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
