On December 26, 2025, officers observed a vehicle stopped on the beltline. The vehicle appeared to have struck the guardrail, and the driver was passed out behind the wheel of the running vehicle.
The officers identified the operator of the vehicle as Jerry N. Saul, age 58, of Black River Falls. The investigating officer noted signs of impairment, and the operator admitted to consuming intoxicants. Saul was arrested for 5th offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (OWI), a felony. He was transported to the Dane County Jail.
Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in the Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
