This is an update regarding the strong smell of natural gas being experienced by many residents in the North Valley of Los Angeles.

THERE IS NO IMMEDIATE THREAT IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES.

The odor is due to a gas line rupture in the Castaic area (outside of LA City jurisdiction).

Please refer to AlertLA.org for additional information and protect.genasys.com for the affected zones and current shelter-in-place order for the immediate surrounding community near the rupture.

Esta es una actualización sobre el fuerte olor a gas natural que están percibiendo muchos residentes del Valle Norte de Los Ángeles.

NO EXISTE AMENAZA INMEDIATA EN LA CIUDAD DE LOS ÁNGELES.

El olor se debe a una fuga en una tubería de gas en el área de Castaic (fuera de la jurisdicción de la ciudad de Los Ángeles).
