1. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1430) 400 Block of West Poplar Street, Civic District
The male victim, 55, was inside his residence when he got into an argument with the known suspect. The suspect struck the victim with a blunt object. The victim fled and was treated at an area hospital for a non-life-threatening injury. SUSPECT: Hispanic female adult.
2. Person Shot (1733) 1100 Block of Stratford Circle, Lakeview District
Officers responded to a report of a person shot and found the female victim, 41, had been beaten by the suspect, and she shot him in self-defense. The victim and suspect were transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. ARRESTED: Eric Myles, 46, for torture, assault with a deadly weapon, and child
abuse.
3. Brandishing Arrest (1833) 2300 Block of North El Dorado Street, Civic District
The male victim, 30, was working at an area business when the suspect entered and caused a disturbance. When the victim confronted the suspect, the suspect brandished a knife at him and fled. Officers located the suspect, but the suspect resisted officers’ attempts to detain him. Force was used to take him into custody. ARRESTED: Christopher Stewart, 35, for brandishing and resisting arrest.
