Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on 12/31/2025 at approximately 1852 hours, his deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office, responded to a two vehicle crash on Detroit Rd. near Dodge Ct., Howard Township, Cass County Michigan.
The investigation showed that a vehicle driven by Dallas Dunn (62 years old from Chicago, IL) was Northbound on Detroit Rd. at Dodge Ct. when he crossed the centerline in poor visibility. His vehicle then struck a Southbound vehicle driven by Lance Butcher (42 years old from Cassopolis, MI). Dunn was transported by SMCAS to Corewell Lakeland Niles Hospital for injuries sustained in the traffic crash.
Assisting agencies on scene were SMCAS and Howard Fire Department.
The crash remains under investigation.
