The Annual Reorganization Meeting of the Mayor and Council will take place on Monday, January 5, at 7:30 p.m., in the second-floor Courtroom of the new Municipal Center Building, located at 229 Fort Lee Road, adjacent to the library.
This meeting is broken into two parts both of which are in the Court Room, but each with its own virtual link:
7:30 pm - Sine Die. The purpose of this meeting is to provide a final send off to outgoing councilmembers before the reorganization meeting. This year, we will thank Councilman Scott Fisher for his service. To join virtually, use this SINE-DIE-LINK.
8:00 pm - Reorganization Meeting. The meeting continues with the swearing in of new Councilmember Avri Ravid, as well as the 2026 officers of the Leonia Volunteer Fire Department. Councilmembers will be appointed to their respective committees, and appointments to various boards and commissions will be formally ratified.
The Mayor will also deliver his annual State of Leonia address, during which he will share several very important announcements related to affordable housing and redevelopment. This information will also be included in the Mayor’s monthly status update, which will be released the following day, January 6.
