Multiple assault incident at Kelly Road banquet hall 
Harper Woods and Detroit police officers responded to the Platinum Affairs event hall on Kelly Road at approximately 9:20 pm on January 3rd, 2026, for reports of "a large fight, several shot and stabbed". Officers arrived to find a chaotic scene, and later learned that all victims had been privately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Witnesses reported a dispute between several individuals that ended with three victims sustaining non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and two others sustaining non-life-threatening stab wounds.
This investigation is in the very early stages, and there are no suspects in custody at this time.
