National Weather Service Coastal Flood Advisory Information

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for Mill Valley and Marin County as high tides combine with impending storm systems moving through the region. These conditions increase the risk of localized flooding, particularly in low-lying and flood-prone areas of Mill Valley.

Potential Impacts Include:
• Flooding of low-lying roads, intersections, parking lots, and nearby creeks
• Possible flooding along Miller Avenue, especially during peak high tides and periods of heavy rain
• Standing water, reduced visibility, and hazardous driving conditions
• Temporary road closures or traffic delays
As additional storms move through the area, rainfall and runoff may worsen flooding conditions, even outside of peak tide times.

⚠️ Safety Reminder:
Do not drive through flooded roadways. Water depth and roadway damage may be difficult to see and can cause vehicles to stall or be damaged.

Residents are encouraged to:
• Use caution while traveling
• Avoid flood-prone areas when possible
• Monitor weather updates and official notifications

For emergencies, call 9-1-1. Continue to monitor the National Weather Service and Emergency.MarinCounty.gov for the latest updates.

Instructions:

If you have vehicles parked in areas known to flood due to high tide, please move your cars before the tide comes in. Limit travel to what is essential/necessary. Be aware of changing road conditions throughout county. Do not drive around or through barricades.
