1. Assault With a Deadly Weapon (2332), 2100 Block of Beau Pre Street, Seaport District
The male victim, 50, was in his home when he heard gunshots and went outside to investigate. He saw a group of subjects standing outside, and one fired several shots at the victim, but did not hit him. Officers located shell casings, and the house was struck by gunfire. SUSPECTS: Unknown race males.
2. Assault With a Deadly Weapon Arrest (0032) 200 Block of West Benjamin Holt Drive, Lakeview District
The female victim, 27, was in an argument with the suspect when he pointed a firearm at her before fleeing. Responding officers located the suspect vehicle, stopped it, and arrested the suspect without incident. Officers located the firearm in the vehicle. ARRESTED: Joel Highfill, 27, for assault with a deadly weapon and weapons charges.
