Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. requests the public’s help identifying the suspect pictured below, who used a victim’s bank card to make purchases on December 16, 2025.
The victim reported to police that someone had taken her wallet from her purse, which she had placed in a shopping cart at Burlington Stores, located in the 700 block of Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard. At approximately 11:30 a.m., the suspect was captured on surveillance video making purchases with her bank card at the store.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
