Deputies Serve Search Warrant and Arrest Two Suspects for Stealing Merchandise from a Retailer on Two Separate Occasions

LOCATION: Bath and Body Works, 12799 Main Street, Hesperia
SUSPECT 1: Serbrina Tanner, 65-year-old-old resident of Hesperia
SUSPECT 2: Robert Robinson, 63-year-old resident of Victorville
SUMMARY: On December 27, 2025, Deputy Weiston responded to 12799 Main Street, Hesperia, for a report of 2 suspects, later identified as Serbrina Tanner and Robert Robinson, leaving the business with over $1300 worth of merchandise. Both suspects were gone before deputies arrived.
On December 29, 2025, Tanner and Robinson returned to the business and left with over $1000 worth of unpaid for merchandise.
Deputy Weiston obtained a search warrant for the suspect's residence. Deputies from the Hesperia Station served the warrant and recovered some of the stolen property.
Prop 36 states that petty theft can be charged as a felony if the offender has two or more prior convictions for theft-related crimes. Felony convictions can result in a sentence of up to three years in county jail or state prison.
Both Tanner and Robinson were arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center
