Partial Island Power Outage - Immediate

Please be advised that Georgia Power must remove a dangerous tree impacting power lines that will cause an immediate power outage from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM today. It will encompass approximately 150 homes north of the airport, including the Jekyll Island Campground. This is a controlled outage, and power will be restored as soon as the tree is safely removed.

The Jekyll Island Authority was just notified of this outage and is communicating it as quickly as it is known.
