Planned First Responder Training – Wilshire/La Cienega Metro Station (Jan. 7)
Planned First Responder Training – Wilshire/La Cienega Metro Station (Jan. 7)
On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Beverly Hills Police Department, Beverly Hills Fire Department, Los Angeles Fire Department, and Metro will conduct scheduled training exercises at the Wilshire/La Cienega Metro Station. This is only a drill, and there is no cause for concern. These exercises help ensure our first responders are prepared to respond safely and effectively, should an emergency ever occur.
During the exercise, residents and commuters may see a large presence of first responders, emergency vehicles, equipment, controlled smoke, and activity primarily below ground, with some use at sidewalk level. Traffic may be impacted during the morning commute along Wilshire Boulevard and La Cienega Boulevard; however, both streets will remain open, and access to pedestrians and businesses will be maintained. Traffic control officers will be on site. Temporary tow-away zones will be posted near the station, but no private driveways will be blocked. Metro bus stops may be temporarily relocated or impacted.
For service updates, call 323-GoMetro or use the Transit App. For emergencies, call 9-1-1. For non-emergency matters, contact BHPD at 310-550-4951.
