Gloucester Township Police Media Release- Gloucester Township Police Bait Package Operation Leads to Arrest
Officers from the Gloucester Township Police Department have been deploying a bait package at a residential address to combat community concerns of package thefts over the holiday shopping season. The package was equipped with the latest GPS tracking technology and remained under surveillance by law enforcement.
On 12/31/2025 at approximately 2:20pm, the package was stolen from an address in the Erial section of Gloucester Township. He was charged with 4th degree Theft of Movable Property and released on a criminal summons in accordance with bail reform.
The Gloucester Township Police Department urges all residents to remain alert to unusual behavior and immediately report any suspicious activity. Residents can also take preventative steps to safeguard their packages such as prompt retrieval of items, package tracking, and secure delivery locations.
