The Kern County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) invites interested candidates to attend a Recruitment and Testing Event for Detentions Deputy positions on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the Kern County Regional Training Center, located at 962 Norris Road, Bakersfield, CA 93308.
Must be 18 years old to apply.
Event Schedule:
- Check-In: 7:30 a.m.
- Event Begins: 8:00 a.m.
- Testing: Begins as seats are filled (no later than 10:00 a.m.)
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Receive application assistance
- Participate in a presentation and Q&A session with current Detentions Deputies
- Tour the Training Center
