Sheriff Clint Roach reports that his deputies responded to a single vehicle crash near the intersection of Burke St and Middle Crossing in Silver Creek Township.
On 1/7/2026 at approximately 7 P.m., 44-year-old Palos Hills, Illinois resident Thaer Alzubdeh did not negotiate the sharp curve in Burke St just south of Middle Crossing.  His vehicle landed forcefully when it exited the roadway.  SMCAS Ambulance and Indian Lake Fire Department provided medical care at the scene before transporting Alzubdeh to Corewell Hospital-Saint Joseph for non-life threatening injuries.  The Pokagon Tribal Police Department assisted the Sheriff’s Office with the crash, which remains under investigation.
