Wilmington Police arrest woman in connection to a burglary and cutting incident:
Wilmington Police have arrested a woman in connection to a burglary and cutting incident.
On January 5th at approximately 8:01 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 500 block of Taylor Street in reference to a burglary and cutting incident. Officers located a female with a minor cut wound. Through investigative measures, officers identified 26-year-old Kayla Barnes as a suspect. Officers located Barnes in the 400 block of East 10th Street and took her into custody without incident.
Officers recovered a folding knife.
Barnes has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
- Assault (Second Degree)
- Criminal Mischief Over $1000
- Burglary (First Degree)
