Crime Bulletin Covering the Weeks of December 15, 2025 - January 4, 2026
When I mention “the unit block” of a street, this means the incident occurred at an address anywhere between 1 and 99 of the street.
Robberies
There was one robbery during the past three weeks.
On Sunday, 12-21-25, at approximately 4:53 p.m., officers were dispatched to Macy’s at Serramonte Center on a report of a robbery. A loss prevention agent stated he was advised by store associates that a group of subjects had entered the store and were stealing merchandise. The loss prevention agent observed one suspect conceal multiple fragrance sets inside a plastic bag while a second suspect acted as a lookout. The suspects exited the store without paying. Loss prevention agents approached the suspects, and one loss prevention agent was able to retrieve the plastic bag from a suspect. Moments later, another suspect suddenly grabbed the bag from the loss prevention agent’s hand, while an additional suspect blocked another loss prevention agent. All suspects fled but were subsequently located. Three suspects, all 16-year-old San Francisco residents, were arrested and booked into the Youth Services Center for robbery and organized retail theft.

San Mateo County Alert System (SMC)
Have you signed up to receive these alerts? This alert is a free digital communication system used by emergency management agencies and first responders to send emergency alerts, notifications, and updates to portable digital devices. In an emergency situation, an alert will be sent by San Mateo County authorized personnel, and you will receive messages on your cell phone or mobile device. Nextdoor.com
Nextdoor.com is a free private social networking website for your neighborhood. This private network ensures that only those who live in your neighborhood can join; users must go through a verification process. Neighbors ask each other for business recommendations; help in locating missing pets; discuss relevant local government issues; or connect for other reasons. It is very easy to sign up. I like the fact that the site verifies users by addresses, and it won’t allow people to access a neighborhood if they don’t live there. Please note: The City of Daly City and/or the Police Department cannot see what residents post—we are only allowed to post information. There is also a mobile application, or you can have it sent to your e-mail. Give it a try! www.nextdoor.com
