Flood Advisory for Grundy County, IL

FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM CST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following
counties, Grundy, Kane and Kendall.

* WHEN...Until 1045 PM CST.

* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 746 PM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated a line of heavy rainfall with rates of 1 to 2
inches per hour moving through the area. Widespread totals in
excess of 1 inch have occurred from earlier rainfall, with up
to 1 inch additional rainfall possible in the next hour.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Aurora, Joliet, Plainfield, St. Charles, Oswego, West
Chicago, Batavia, Geneva, Yorkville, Morris, Channahon,
Minooka, Plano, Coal City, Montgomery, North Aurora, Sugar
Grove, Boulder Hill, Diamond and Wayne.
