The City of Sonora will be conducting routine waterline maintenance, which will include flushing three (3) fire hydrants in the central and southern areas of town, including portions of the Loma Alta area.
 
City employees will be performing this work as part of our regular preventative maintenance program to help ensure water quality and proper operation of the water system.
 
During this time, some residents may notice:
 

• Temporary changes in water pressure
• Cloudy or discolored water for a short period 

 There is no cause for alarm. This is a normal part of maintaining the City’s waterlines. If discoloration occurs, residents are encouraged to let their water run for a few minutes until it clears.
 
We ask our citizens to please be cautious and aware while this maintenance is taking place.
