Fruitport Police Department Investigating Robbery and Assault
The Fruitport Police Department is investigating a robbery and assault that occurred at Whitlow’s Restaurant, 4610 Airline Rd, on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
At approximately 6:10 a.m., a male suspect entered the business and confronted a male employee who was preparing the restaurant to open. The suspect detained and assaulted the employee during the incident.
Although available images are blurry, the clothing may be identifiable. The suspect is described as:
• White male
• Approximately 6 feet tall
• Wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt and dark pants with multi-colored logos
• Carrying a backpack with distinct coloring
• Wearing white tennis shoes
