1/07 – 1:39 a.m. – A Millstadt Officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation in the 3400 block of Douglas Road. Upon investigating, suspected methamphetamine was located on the driver’s person, and in the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle, Paul M. Beaumont, 42 of O’Fallon, was arrested on St. Clair County traffic and misdemeanor warrants. On January 8th, the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged the driver, James L. Monroe, 49 of Belleville, with Possession of Methamphetamine 5<15 Grams; a Class 2 Criminal Felony. The Freeburg Police Department K9 Unit and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department assisted with this incident.
