Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges following an investigation.
On January 7th at approximately 6:00 a.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force executed a search warrant in the 200 block of West 6th Street in reference to illegal drug sales. Officers made contact with 26-year-old Markell Rollins and took him into custody without incident. Officers recovered ammunition, magazines an extended magazine, 263 grams of marijuana, and $748 in currency.
Rollins has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 20 and released on $12,200 secured-bail.
